The relevance of the digitalization of literary studies is substantiated
The international scientific and practical conference "Transdisciplinary approach to the study of literature and the training of literary scholars in the digital age" was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The large-scale event at the Scientific Library brought together leading scientists, writers, experts in the field of AI and digital humanities from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

Opening the plenary session, Alina Galeeva, Member of the Board and Vice–Rector for Academic Affairs of KazNU, stressed that in the context of rapid digitalization, the training of highly qualified philologists requires going beyond traditional formats. The Vice-Rector noted the need to create flexible educational programs that would combine classical disciplines with the latest data processing tools and the use of artificial intelligence. In her opinion, the university should become a platform for advanced training of personnel capable of applying analytical methods in the study of cultural heritage.

Dean of the Faculty of Philology Bayan Dzholdasbekova emphasized in her welcoming speech: "In the context of the rapid development of artificial intelligence and digital technologies, literary studies and Kazakh philology are becoming a strategic resource for spiritual stability, cultural development of society and the formation of personal value orientations. The purpose of this conference is to determine the direction of institutional deepening of humanitarian education in the higher education system of the Republic of Kazakhstan". She also thanked poet, writer, and winner of the Alash International Literary Award Saule Doszhan for her sponsorship and active assistance in establishing the Dukenbai Doszhan Scientific and Creative Center for Digital Philology at the Faculty of Philology.

During the conference, Russian and foreign scientists, writers and publishing specialists presented their reports. The participants were particularly interested in the book exhibition of leading publishers, such as Kasym Kitapkhanasy and «Отбасы хрестоматиясы», organized within the framework of the event.

Following the meeting, an important resolution was adopted aimed at modernizing the education system. The document includes new initiatives such as the introduction of a special creative exam for future literary critics, the development of a unified system for periodizing literary history, and the integration of modern microqualifications such as literary agent, literary coach, and screenwriter-playwright into curricula.

The participants agreed that literature remains the intellectual core of society, requiring new approaches to study and popularization.
