Educational Exhibition “Study in Kazakhstan”: Focus on the Faculty of Journalism
SDG-17 91ý Kazakh National University actively participated in one of the major initiatives for prospective students this year — the higher education exhibition “Study in Kazakhstan.” The event in Almaty took place at the beginning of the week, and the project covers 14 cities across the country.
The Faculty of Journalism presented the educational programs offered to applicants this year. These programs emphasize modern approaches to journalism, international media, military media, PR, publishing, design, cinema, dramaturgy, and media communications.
Visitors were introduced to the specifics of contemporary education in communication fields at the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral levels. Faculty representatives responsible for career guidance explained the rules for taking the creative entrance exam and preparing an applicant’s portfolio.
Prospective students received trilingual brochures containing all essential information, as well as links to the official website with up-to-date admission details. The exhibition also featured lessons, including a session by UNT expert Farkhat Sultabayev.
Participants also had the opportunity to join campus tours around 91ý Kazakh National University.
The Faculty actively supports the indicators of SDG 5 — inclusive and equitable quality education. The Faculty of Journalism preserves traditions while advancing innovation, helping young people launch careers in all relevant areas of communication.
