The winners from the faculty have been awarded at the international scientific conference for students and young researchers titled “The World of Farabi”

On April 7–8, 2026, the 91ý Kazakh National University hosted the International Scientific Conference of Students and Young Scientists “Farabi Alemi” at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology.

A total of 378 abstracts were accepted for the conference, including:

154 from undergraduate students, 121 from master’s students, and 103 from doctoral students.

Within the framework of the “Start in Science” section (for school students), 40 abstracts were accepted, of which 33 were presented as oral reports.

A total of 14 abstracts were received from foreign higher education institutions. In addition, 62 abstracts were submitted by other universities across Kazakhstan.

Out of all accepted submissions, 105 were presented as oral reports.

During the conference, presentations were delivered across the following 6 sections:

        1.      Innovations in Botany and Agroecology

        2.      Biodiversity, Ecology and Animal Morphology

        3.      Modern Issues in Biophysics, Physiology, Biological Education, Biomedicine and Neurosciences

        4.      Current Issues in Genetics, Molecular Biology and Ecology

        5.      Modern Issues in Biotechnology

        6.      Start in Science (for school students)

 

Winners were determined and awarded across all 6 sections.

Based on the conference results, the following winners were identified from the faculty:

 1st place – Section “Current Issues in Genetics, Molecular Biology and Ecology”

Andakbayev Darkhan Bulekhovich (4th-year student)

 

2nd place – Section “Modern Issues in Biophysics, Physiology, Biological Education, Biomedicine and Neurosciences”

Yeliubayev Kanat Omirbayuly (2nd-year Master’s student)

 

3rd place – Section “Biodiversity, Ecology and Animal Morphology”

Tairov Ilnur Amrazhanovich, Abdreimova Dilbara Renatovna (2nd-year students)
