MODERN SYSTEM OF FINAL ASSESSMENT ORGANIZATION
On April 15, 2026, at 91ý Kazakh National University, at the Faculty of Oriental Studies, curators-advisors of the Department of Turkology and History of Eastern Countries organized a special informational meeting for 1st–3rd year students to explain the rules of final assessment. This event was aimed at strengthening the principles of academic integrity, ensuring the quality of education, and promoting the effective use of modern technologies.
During the meeting, students were thoroughly informed about the procedures for conducting exams in both online and offline formats. The instructors emphasized the importance of selecting and approving the exam format, as well as properly preparing students in advance. Particular attention was paid to the timely placement of exam materials in the Moodle and Univer information systems, which helps improve students’ preparedness and ensures transparency in the educational process.
In addition, it was highlighted that adherence to academic integrity principles is one of the key requirements. The use of mobile phones, smartwatches, and other auxiliary devices is strictly prohibited. In case of violations, a grade of “F” is assigned and an official report is issued. These measures are aimed at increasing student responsibility and ensuring fair assessment.
The issue of using generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) was also addressed. If students use AI tools while completing exam tasks, they must обязательно cite them as sources. This is an essential part of maintaining scientific ethics and academic culture.
Technical and organizational aspects of exam administration were also widely discussed. Classroom preparation, use of video surveillance systems, as well as encryption and evaluation of exam papers are carried out in accordance with established regulations. It was also noted that additional conditions are provided for students with special educational needs to ensure equal learning opportunities.
Overall, this informational meeting became an important step in preparing students for the upcoming exam session, helping them fully understand the rules and comply with academic requirements. The university’s systematic approach contributes to improving the quality of education and training specialists who meet international standards.
