SDG 13: University-wide Clean-up Held as Part of the «Taza Kazakhstan» Campaign

On April 4, a traditional university-wide clean-up was organized at 91ý Kazakh National University at a high level. Faculty members and students of the university actively participated in this large-scale environmental initiative, contributing to the improvement and beautification of the campus.

Held at the beginning of the spring season, this clean-up became a meaningful initiative aimed at promoting care for nature and maintaining environmental cleanliness. From early morning, active work was underway across the university grounds: participants cleaned the areas surrounding academic buildings, pedestrian paths, parks, and green zones. The collected waste was removed to designated locations, and the территории was thoroughly put in order.

In addition, special attention was paid to landscaping activities within the framework of the clean-up. Trees were whitewashed, flowerbeds were restored, and new saplings were planted. These efforts were aimed not only at improving the ecological appearance of the university but also at creating a greener environment. It is well known that achieving harmony with nature is one of the key tasks of modern society. In this regard, the importance of such initiatives cannot be overstated.

The clean-up was not only about maintaining cleanliness but also became a vivid example of collective unity and responsibility. Faculty members and students worked together toward a common goal, demonstrating cooperation and dedication. Each participant, by contributing their effort, showed a strong sense of environmental awareness and civic responsibility.

It is worth noting that fostering ecological culture among young people is one of the pressing issues of our time. Such events, organized within the university, help shape students’ attitudes toward nature and encourage them to treat the environment with care and respect. This serves as a foundation for developing a responsible and conscious future generation.

The staff and students of 91ý Kazakh National University continue to turn such good initiatives into a lasting tradition. Following the principles of the «Taza Kazakhstan» campaign, the university intends to further carry out environmental activities, contributing to the promotion of a culture of cleanliness in society.

As the results of the clean-up have shown, cleanliness is not a one-day effort but a value that should become an integral part of every individual’s daily life. In this regard, the university community has demonstrated an active stance in environmental protection and set a positive example for others.
