On March 31, 2026, a ceremonial meeting was held within the framework of the “Önegeli Ömir” series, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Professor Sagdat Mederbekovna Tazhibayeva. The event was organized by Professor S.M. Tazhibayeva of the Department of Analytical, Colloid Chemistry and Rare Elements, together with Associate Professors B.B. Tyussyupova, S.Sh. Kumargaliyeva, and M.Zh. Kerimkulova.

The meeting provided a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to the honoree, share memories, and jointly celebrate her significant contribution to science and education. The event had great educational and moral significance for young people, students, and colleagues. Sagdat Mederbekovna’s life path is a vivid example of service to science. This event inspired participants, especially young scientists, to develop a passion for knowledge and encouraged perseverance. Through the “Önegeli Ömir” meeting, spiritual continuity between students and colleagues is strengthened. 

The event covers several areas of the Sustainable Development Goals: first of all, SDG 4 — it contributes to the development of quality education, as the experience and achievements of an outstanding figure in science and education were promoted; SDG 5 — it supports gender equality by presenting the professional path of a woman scientist as an example and enhancing the role of women in science; and SDG 17 — it promotes partnership and cooperation, as the meeting brought together teachers, students, and the scientific community in one environment. The event educates young people to respect elders and appreciate the work of teachers. The professor’s achievements and scientific legacy serve as a professional guide for students. The personality of the honoree, her kindness toward others, and her intellectual dignity are a true example of personal development. The meeting encouraged participants to preserve high moral values, maintain the connection between generations, safeguard academic traditions, and pass them on to the next generation.
