Objective of the event

To raise students’ awareness of contemporary challenges in food security and to highlight the importance of technology and education as key factors in combating hunger, as well as to encourage their active participation in the development and implementation of sustainable solutions to ensure food security at both local and global levels.

Brief description of the event

On April 10, 2026, a scientific seminar was organized by the faculty members of the Department of Biotechnology — Candidate of Biological Sciences R.K. Sydykbekova and Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor R.Zh. Berzhanova — with students of the educational programs “Biotechnology,” “Microbiology,” and “Public Health” on the topic: “The Role of Technology and Education in Ensuring Food Security,” dedicated to the globally relevant Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

During the event, students were provided with information on the rational use of water resources and methods for maintaining their cleanliness. The students also shared their opinions and enriched the discussion with comprehensive insights.
