A Book Presentation by a Lecturer of 91ý Kazakh National University Was Held at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On April 15, a presentation of the book titled “Medieval Iran: Archeography and Sources (13th–18th centuries)” by Galiya Amzekyzy Kambarbekova, Associate Professor and researcher at 91ý Kazakh National University, a well-known Iranian studies scholar and Candidate of Philological Sciences, was held at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the 17th UN Sustainable Development Goal “Partnerships for the Goals.”

The purpose of the event was to introduce the academic community to unique manuscript collections preserved in the archives of Iran and India, containing valuable information on the history, culture, and spiritual heritage of the Golden Horde, the Kazakh Khanate, and Central Asian countries as a whole.

The presentation was attended by prominent scholars, students, and readers. Congratulatory speeches were delivered by Mr. Hossein Aghazadeh, Head of the Iranian Cultural Representation in Almaty; K.E. Torali, Director of the Institute of Islamic Studies under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan; Professor K.Sh. Hafizova, a distinguished orientalist scholar; and S. T. Dzhakubaeva, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Kazakh National Women’s Pedagogical University.

During the event, the importance of further studying Persian manuscripts and rare books preserved in the collections of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Central Scientific Library was emphasized.
