The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management at 91��ý Kazakh National University welcomed Professor Frank Witlox — Head of the Department and Professor of Economic Geography at Ghent University (Belgium) — on an official visit.

As part of the visit, working meetings were held with the faculty and department leadership, where prospects for academic and scientific cooperation were discussed. Particular attention was given to:
— the implementation of joint educational programs,
— academic mobility of students and faculty,
— preparation of joint scientific publications and educational materials.

Professor Frank Witlox also became acquainted with the educational process, research areas, and the faculty’s research infrastructure.

This visit represents an important step in developing international partnerships, strengthening scientific ties, and enhancing the faculty’s academic reputation at the global level.

The Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management continues to actively expand international cooperation, creating new opportunities for students and academic staff.
