The Scientific Legacy of V.K. Radostovets and New Horizons of Accounting, Audit and Analysis in the Era of Sustainable Transformations

At the Higher School of Economics and Business of 91ý Kazakh National University, the Department of Finance and Accounting organized a round table on the topic “Accounting, Audit and Analysis in the Era of Sustainable Transformations: Big Data, New Technologies and the SDGs”, held within the framework of SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the distinguished scholar Vladimir Konstantinovich Radostovets, who made a significant contribution to the development of accounting and auditing.

The main purpose of the event was to provide a scholarly discussion of current trends in accounting, auditing, and analysis, including the impact of big data and new technologies, to determine their role in the context of the Sustainable Development Goals, and to promote the development of professional competencies through the integration of education and science. In addition, the event widely highlighted the scientific legacy of Vladimir Konstantinovich Radostovets and his significant contribution to the formation of the national school of accounting and auditing.

The round table was held on April 9, 2026, in Room 201 named after Ya.A. Aubakirov at the Higher School of Economics and Business. The event brought together experts, faculty members, doctoral students, master’s students, and undergraduate students. The organizers included faculty members of the Department of Finance and Accounting, doctoral students of the educational programs 8D04108 – Accounting and Auditing and 8D04116 – Audit and Control, as well as second-year master’s students of the educational program 7M04117 – Accounting and Auditing.

The event was moderated by Bakyt Bitakhanovna Sultanova, Candidate of Economic Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Finance and Accounting. At the opening of the round table, welcoming remarks were delivered by Zhanna Zhandarbekovna Yermekova, Dean of the Higher School of Economics and Business of 91ý Kazakh National University, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting Associate Professor, and Rysty Bozmanaevna Sartova, Head of the Department of Finance and Accounting, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting Professor, who emphasized the scientific and practical significance of the event.

As part of the program, well-known specialists and scholars in the field delivered presentations. In particular, Viktor Vladimirovich Radostovets, Mukhtar Saltaevich Yerzhanov, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor, Academician, Madi Baidauletovich Baidauletov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Aigul Malibekovna Atchabarova, Associate Professor, Bakyt Bitakhanovna Sultanova, Associate Professor, Oksana Yuryevna Kogut, PhD, Associate Professor-Researcher, and Arzygul Kamerdinovna Nizamdinova, Senior Lecturer, raised актуальные вопросы of accounting, auditing, analysis, digitalization, big data, and the role of new technologies in education and professional practice.

During the event, participants discussed the substantive modernization of accounting and auditing in the context of sustainable transformations, the improvement of analytical tools, the adaptation of educational programs to modern requirements, and the development of academic and professional initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The round table strengthened scholarly dialogue among the professional community, young researchers, and students, and created opportunities for exchanging experience and discussing relevant ideas.

In conclusion, the participants emphasized the importance of further developing accounting, auditing, and analysis in the context of new challenges and digital changes, expanding scientific cooperation, and continuing efforts to promote the scientific legacy of V.K. Radostovets. The event concluded with final remarks and a commemorative photo session.
