Under the auspices of "Unity in Language, Friendship in Culture!", a poetry contest in Turkish was organized as part of the "Turkish Language and Culture Week." First- and second-year students participated in the contest.
The students recited poems by Turkish poets and demonstrated their love for poetry. The jury consisted of department faculty, Associate Professor A. Kurmanali Çakıroglu, Acting Professor E. Dulaeva, and Senior Lecturers Zh. Abeldaev, A. Kyrkymbekova, and G. Duysen.
The goal of the poetry contest was to encourage students to read books, introduce them to the complexities of poetry, and instill the habit of memorizing poems. The Turkish poetry reading competition was judged on several criteria, including expressiveness of the poem, vocal rhythm, artistic ability, composure, and stage presence.

First-year student Maratkızı Aytolkın won first place. She brilliantly recited the classic poem "İstanbul'u Dinliyorum" by renowned Turkish poet Orhan Veli Kanık.
Second place went to two students: first-year student Gulzhan Kokteubay and Daniyar Aydarov. G. Kokteubay recited the poem "Monoroza" by the great Turkish poet Sezai Karakoç, while D. Aydarov translated Mukhtar Shakhanov's "Tört Ana" into Turkish and recited it himself. Three students were recognized as worthy of third place: second-year student Asylbek Ayganym and first-year students Serik Amina and Toktasyn Merey. Ayganym recited the poem "Bir Dost" by Turkish poet Hilal Nomer, Amina recited "Sakarya Türküsü" by renowned Turkish poet Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, and Merey recited "Ben Sana Meçburum" by classical Turkish poet Attila Ilhan.

Thus, the students demonstrated their love for reading and great interest in Turkish poetry. The winners of the competition were awarded special diplomas and valuable prizes.
Congratulations to all participants on their achievements, and thank you for active participation! Wishing you continued success and new victories!
