A series of practical training sessions for unmanned aerial system (UAS) operators was conducted at the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications.

The training of qualified unmanned aircraft system (UAS) pilots is a fundamental prerequisite for the advancement of modern science, monitoring technologies, and the digital economy. In late 2025, 91ý Kazakh National University (KazNU) and Aerial Solutions / Drone Pilot Academy signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation in the field of unmanned aviation and geoinformatics, establishing a framework for the systematic development of next-generation specialists.

From April 9 to April 12, the Kazakhstan–China Joint Laboratory of Remote Sensing Technologies and Their Applications  " hosted a series of practical training sessions for UAS operators representing various organizations. The curriculum focused on developing applied skills in drone piloting and their integration into research and development activities.

The training was conducted by expert instructors from the Drone Pilot Academy. This level of preparation ensures not only technical proficiency but also builds the necessary competencies to effectively utilize unmanned solutions for complex research tasks, including high-precision geospatial data collection and processing.

As part of the program, Junior Researcher M.K. Sirazhitdinova successfully completed the course and, following a formal assessment, was awarded a "Category 2 Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Operator" certificate, confirming a high level of professional expertise.

For the laboratory, this achievement represents a significant enhancement of its human capital. The integration of UAS into daily research practices opens new possibilities for rapid and high-precision monitoring, serving as a key factor in the evolution of Earth remote sensing technologies and expanding the scope of applied scientific challenges
