On April 22, 2026, a representative of the UNESCO Chair of Tajikistan on Water Resources Research, Environmental Education and Sustainable Development paid a working visit to the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of 91ý Kazakh National University.


Dalerjon Dadoevich Khodjibaev, Candidate of Technical Sciences, representative of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies, and Head of the UNESCO Chair on Water Resources Research, Environmental Education and Sustainable Development at the Tajik Mining and Metallurgical Institute, visited the university. During the visit, the guest ознакомился (better: became acquainted) with the scientific and educational activities of the university and faculty, academic programs, and projects in the field of sustainable development. The meeting also addressed issues of developing bilateral cooperation, exchange of experience, and implementation of joint scientific research.


It should be noted that this Chair in Tajikistan was established with the scientific and methodological guidance and support of T.A. Bazarbayeva, Head of the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Development at 91ý Kazakh National University. This cooperation falls within the classical framework of UNESCO’s South–South cooperation.

This meeting represents an important step towards strengthening international cooperation among UNESCO Chairs and promoting the Sustainable Development Goals.
