“Digitalization and Labor Rights: Professional Competencies of a Future Specialist”
International Round Table within the Framework of the SDGs
On April 23, 2026, an international round table on “Digitalization and Labor Rights: Professional Competencies of a Future Specialist” was held at Satbayev University, in Room 269 of the Main Metallurgical Building. The event was organized by first-year doctoral students of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management at 91ý Kazakh National University.
The purpose of the round table was to discuss current issues related to labor rights in the context of digitalization, the professional competencies of future specialists, legal literacy, digital culture, and the development of soft skills in line with contemporary demands.
The event was held in connection with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and was aligned with: SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions.
The moderator of the round table was Aigul Sarsenbaevna Zhumagalieva, a first-year doctoral student of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management at 91ý Kazakh National University.
The welcome address was delivered by Dolores Abdildaevna Nurgalieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management at 91ý Kazakh National University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.
The following presentations were delivered during the round table:
Yegemberdy Dairbekovich Abylkasymov, Candidate of Legal Sciences, police colonel — “Formation of Legal Awareness in the Era of Digitalization”;
Yelizaveta Sultanovna Davletkaliyeva, Lecturer at the Higher School of Natural Sciences and Humanities, S. Baishev University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor — “Digital Culture in Professional Practice”;
Kulaysha Tolenovna Zhansugurova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences at Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages — “Soft Skills and Legal Culture in the Context of Digitalization”.
As part of the program, a video created with the use of artificial intelligence was presented. The video was prepared by R.M. Suleimenova.
The concluding remarks were delivered by Meiramkul Daurenbekovna Murzagulova, Deputy Head of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management for Research, Innovation and International Relations, Senior Lecturer at 91ý Kazakh National University.
During the round table, participants exchanged views on labor rights in the digital era, professional competencies, legal culture, digital literacy, and contemporary changes in the education system. The event became a meaningful academic platform aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of future specialists and improving their legal and digital competencies.
