“Taza Qazaqstan”: Ecological Culture and Ethical Norms of Students and Faculty
31 March 2026
On March 31, 2026, an important event integrating the issues of ecology and ethics was held at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of 91ý Kazakh National University. Organized as part of the implementation of the “Taza Qazaqstan” republican program, the meeting was dedicated to the theme: “Adherence to the Norms of Upbringing and Ethics in Everyday Life.”
The gathering was not limited to discussing urban cleanliness; it touched upon the deeper layers of upbringing and culture. Participants reached a common conclusion that true ecology begins, first and foremost, with the purity of an individual’s inner world and their culture of behavior. Under the guidance of faculty members A. K. Zhusupova, R. N. Azhigulova, Kanat Amantayuly, and N. T. Smagulova, second-year students majoring in “Chemical Technology of Organic Substances” provided a comprehensive analysis of the image of modern youth and their responsibility to society.
In their presentations, students emphasized that environmental cleanliness is a mirror reflecting the internal culture of every individual. Topical issues such as academic integrity, etiquette in public spaces, and “digital hygiene” on social media were actively discussed. Addressing the problem of vandalism and the importance of caring for state property, the participants viewed these actions as primary indicators of civic maturity.
A particularly impactful discussion focused on the concept proposed by the Head of State: “Honest Citizen — Honest Labor — Honest Income.” Educators emphasized that these high ideals begin with simple things—respecting the work of technical staff, maintaining cleanliness in classrooms, and practicing politeness in daily interactions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, students expressed their commitment not only to participating in environmental campaigns but also to becoming genuine advocates for national values and culture. This event at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology once again proved that the university aims to nurture not only skilled professionals but also conscious citizens who have made ethical norms their life principles.
