A meeting to develop a new anti-corruption policy document was held in Almaty. The event was attended by government officials, members of the Ethics Council and the Public Council, as well as K.R. Useinova - Candidate in Law, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law at the Faculty of Law of the 91ý Kazakh National University.
The discussion was initiated following the completion of the current Anti-Corruption Policy Concept. It was noted that, despite previous government programs and international experience, corruption remains a serious challenge.
Meeting participants proposed shifting the focus from punishment to creating conditions for the inevitability of accountability and the prevention of corruption offenses. The new concept will be developed taking into account the principles of "Fair Kazakhstan," "Adal Azamat," and "Law and Order."
To achieve tangible results, the combined efforts of all parties—government, business, and civil society—are necessary.
