On April 25, 2026, faculty members and students from the Department of World History, Historiography, and Source Studies at the Faculty of History of 91ý Kazakh National University visited Gymnasium №138. The event, held at the invitation of the gymnasium’s principal, Medet Imanbekuly, focused on the theme "Oqushy-Student-Ustaz" (Pupil-Student-Teacher) and marked a significant step in strengthening academic partnerships.
The primary goal of the visit was to establish a direct dialogue between school students and future educators. Welcoming the guests, Medet Imanbekuly emphasized the importance of close cooperation between secondary schools and universities, sharing valuable practical insights with the prospective historians. The principal focused on modern approaches to teaching history, methods for developing students' critical thinking, and the culture of working with historical sources.
The university students engaged in a lively discussion with the gymnasium pupils, answering questions about university life and the nuances of historical science. During the session, participants explored ways to build an effective scientific and methodological bridge between the school and the university. The department faculty expressed their gratitude to the principal for his hospitality and for facilitating such an interactive experience, noting its immense value in training the next generation of specialists.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to organize joint educational events and a series of special lectures for gymnasium students.
