KazNU: A Proud Celebration — Volleyball Tournament Dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day
On April 22, 2026, a volleyball tournament filled with festive spirit was held at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of 91ý Kazakh National University. The event was organized by the Department of General and Applied Psychology with the participation of Aiazbaeva Beibit Boltekkyzy. Dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, the tournament was conducted at a high level with the support of the international organization Partners in Health. Its main goal was not only to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, but also to strengthen their sense of patriotism and team unity.
Competition Highlights: Intensity and Determination
The tournament, held at the university’s sports complex, brought together four well-prepared teams formed from the faculty and other university divisions:
* “Philosophy” team — strong and knowledgeable representatives of the faculty;
* “Hist Börileri” team — a group that demonstrated the speed and resilience of history students;
* College team — a symbol of youth, energy, and agility;
* Mixed team — a friendly lineup of students from various majors.
From the very first minutes, the court was filled with intense competition. Each team showcased its own tactics and a high level of technical skill. The players impressed spectators and referees alike with their precise serves and solid defensive play. Participants demonstrated not only physical strength but also strategic thinking. The “Hist Börileri” team stood out with fast attacks, while the College team showed determination and perseverance.
Winners and Awardees
After competitive final matches, the winners were determined:
1. 🔹 1st place — “Philosophy” team, demonstrating strong teamwork and determination;
2. 🔹 2nd place — “Hist Börileri” team, noted for its organization and discipline;
3. 🔹 3rd place — College team;
4. 🔸 Best Attacker — Zhumabek Ulagat.
Although the Mixed team did not win a prize, their enthusiasm and friendly spirit enriched the tournament atmosphere. All winners and participants were awarded certificates, trophies, and valuable prizes prepared by the partners of Partners in Health.
Sport as Unity and Development
The tournament provided students with an excellent opportunity to spend their free time productively, improve their physical abilities, and strengthen interfaculty connections. As the event was dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day, it also carried significant educational value. Qualities such as responsibility, mutual support, and resilience were clearly demonstrated on the court.
Representatives of Partners in Health highly appreciated the students’ enthusiasm for sports and expressed confidence that such initiatives will continue in the future:
“Events like this build team spirit and unite young people around a common goal. Today’s tournament is not just a sporting achievement—it is a reflection of our unity,” the organizers concluded.
This sporting event, aimed at fostering a culture of unity and partnership within the university, will undoubtedly remain in the memories of participants and fans. The future defenders of Kazakhstan proved on the court not only their strength but also their intelligence and sportsmanship. This event marked another successful step in the implementation of KazNU’s youth policy.
