A seminar dedicated to the new Regulation on Unified Requirements for the Development of Educational and Methodological Literature for Granting the Approval Stamp of the Educational and Methodological Association of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences of 91ý Kazakh National University.
The event was attended by representatives of the Educational and Methodological Association based at 91ý Kazakh National University. The main speaker of the seminar was the Academic Secretary of the EMA, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Akmaral Salimzhanovna Syrgakbayeva.
During the seminar, participants discussed the key requirements for preparing educational publications, the procedure for submitting educational and methodological literature to obtain the EMA RUMS approval stamp, as well as the main structural elements of an educational publication. Special attention was paid to the formatting of materials, content requirements, the review procedure, and issues related to the financing of the approval process.
The seminar is directly linked to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 — Quality Education, as the improvement of requirements for educational and methodological literature contributes to enhancing the quality of educational resources, updating the content of the learning process, and providing students with modern, well-structured, and scientifically grounded learning materials.
In addition, the event is aligned with SDG 9 — Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, since the development of a high-quality educational and methodological base supports the modernization of educational infrastructure and the introduction of unified academic standards. The seminar also reflects the principles of SDG 17 — Partnerships for the Goals, as it was organized with the participation of EMA representatives and aimed at strengthening cooperation between the faculty, educational and methodological structures, and the academic community.
The seminar provided faculty members with an opportunity to receive up-to-date information on the new requirements, ask questions, and discuss practical aspects of preparing high-quality educational and methodological literature for the educational process.
Such events contribute to improving the quality of educational and methodological work, enhancing educational programmes, and developing the academic culture of the faculty.
