KazNU strengthens its position in Asia University Rankings 2026

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University has retained its place in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2026 and improved a number of indicators reflecting the quality of scientific and educational activities.

The ranking includes more than 900 Asian universities and evaluates them in key areas: the quality of teaching, research, citation of publications, the level of international cooperation and interaction with the industry. In conditions of high competition, KazNU demonstrates stable development and growth according to certain evaluation criteria.

The leading positions in the ranking are traditionally occupied by the leading universities in the region, including Tsinghua University and Peking University, which highlights the high level of competition in the Asian academic space.

KazNU consistently implements an internationalization strategy aimed at improving the quality of education and strengthening scientific activities. The University is expanding international cooperation, increasing publication activity in the Scopus and Web of Science databases, and also developing joint research with foreign partners.

Special attention is paid to the development of applied research and interaction with industry, which enhances the practical significance of the university's scientific developments.

The rating results confirm the importance of KazNU's strategic course aimed at increasing global competitiveness and contributing to the development of science and education in Central Asia.
