Future Defenders of the Fatherland Competed for the Rector’s Cup
The Military Department of 91ý Kazakh National University, on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day, held the traditional 5th military-patriotic game “Сарбазы.”
Eight teams of high school students from all districts of Almaty took part in the competition for the KazNU Rector's Cup.
The large-scale event was organized by the Military Department of the University in cooperation with the City Scientific and Practical Center of Physical Culture and Sports under the Department of Education of Almaty. The main purpose of the competition is to educate the younger generation in the spirit of Kazakhstani patriotism, preserve historical memory and enhance the prestige of military service.

The competition program was intense and competitive. The young "сарбаз" demonstrated their drill skills, took part in national sports and a military-applied relay race. Each stage was held under the strict supervision of a professional jury, which highly appreciated the iron discipline, cohesion and the will of the participants to win.


As part of the festive event, students of the military Department of KazNU prepared demonstrations, masterfully demonstrating their weapons skills and elements of hand-to-hand combat.

Traditionally, the event was sponsored by the Parasat University Trade Union Committee. At the end of the competition, a field kitchen was organized for the participants and guests, where everyone could taste the "soldier's porridge".

The military-patriotic game "Сарбаз" not only identified the best, but also contributed to the formation of statesman values among young people, strengthening the continuity of generations and popularizing military traditions. Following the results of the competition, the winning team was awarded the KazNU Rector's Cup.
