On April 28th of this year, a mentor hour was held for the second-year students of the Russian Department of Public Relations and International Journalism majors, dedicated to the topic "Academic Integrity and Legal Discipline: Their Importance in the University Environment." The mentor/advisor, senior lecturer, journalist, and publicist Arman Aktaiuly Kudabay, spoke to the students about moments in his academic and journalistic practice when he firsthand encountered issues of integrity and legal norms in educational and creative work. The instructor explained the essence of the concept of "academic integrity" and why it is so important for future professionals.

Touching on legal discipline, he cited examples from his recent interview with Spik.kz, "Translation Error: Why Kazakhstan Distorted the Meaning of 'Rule of Law'." The conversation was lively, and the instructor answered a number of questions that concerned the students about their upcoming final dissertations in the new academic year.
