KazNU startup is the silver medalist of Astana Hub
The scientific staff of the Al-Farabi AI Center (AlfaCenter) successfully presented the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the prestigious Astana Hub. During the Pizza Pitch event, the innovative startup Zhurek AI, developed by KazNU scientists, took the honorable second place among the 12 strongest finalists from all over Kazakhstan.
The high potential of the project was confirmed by an expert commission, which included representatives of leading venture investors and funds such as BGlobal Ventures, Silkroad Angels Club, Activat VC and MA7 Ventures.

Zhurek AI is a unique intelligent platform that combines artificial intelligence algorithms with Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) technologies. The main goal of the project is the early detection and prevention of cardiovascular diseases. The system allows you to monitor the patient's condition in real time, analyze data and promptly respond to any pathological changes.
This development has become a vivid example of the effective synergy of engineering, fundamental medicine and business strategy. The high assessment from investors confirms the commercial attractiveness of the project and its readiness to enter the market.

It is worth noting that the scientific justification of the platform is supported by publications in reputable journals of the Scopus database (Q1/Q2 level), as well as patents and copyright certificates obtained. Currently, the Zhurek AI platform is being tested in a pilot mode on the basis of JSC Scientific Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
"Our success at the Astana Hub site is a clear proof that AI research conducted within the walls of KazNU is of great practical importance and competitive at the national level",- AlfaCenter representatives noted.
By supporting young scientists and the startup movement, KazNU strives to contribute to the development of the country's digital economy and improve the quality of life of the population by transforming scientific ideas into real digital products.
Congratulations to the AlfaCenter team on their well-deserved victory and wish them success in the further implementation of the project!
