Professional Development Course “Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Education: Innovations and Implementation (within SDGs 4, 9, 17)”

From April 13 to April 21, 2026, a 72-hour professional development course titled
“Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Education: Innovations and Implementation (within SDGs 4, 9, 17)”
was successfully held at 91ý Kazakh National University, Faculty of Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Big Data.

The course was delivered by faculty members Gulzat Ziyatbekova and Zhanniya Bazarbek. Participants included lecturers from Almaty Technological University, who gained practical experience in integrating AI tools into the educational process.

Course Objective

The main objective of the course was to develop participants’ innovative thinking in applying artificial intelligence (AI) tools in education and to enhance their ability to transform these ideas into teaching and methodological practices. The program was designed in line with modern digital education trends and aimed at strengthening professional competencies of educators.

Course Tasks

During the course, participants:
– analyzed key concepts and development trends of AI in education;
– explored AI applications in building personalized learning trajectories;
– identified real educational challenges and studied AI-based solutions;
– learned principles of developing MVPs (Minimum Viable Products);
– developed skills in pitching and implementing projects.

Course Content

The program combined theoretical and practical sessions, including:
– intelligent systems in education;
– innovative teaching models and the role of AI;
– generative AI (LLMs) and text data processing;
– adaptive learning platforms;
– Big Data and learning analytics;
– AI ethics and algorithmic fairness;
– digital innovation and educational startups;
– project pitching and defense.

Additionally, participants completed 40 hours of independent online work, developing real-world educational projects.
