KazNU joined the consortium "Innovators of the Future"
Chairman of the Management Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in the Future Innovators Festival held in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the international event organized in Tashkent, about 30 contests and exhibitions were held, in which more than 14 thousand participants from different countries took part.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Jamshid Khojaev, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of Uzbekistan Kongratbai Sharipov, renowned scientists, international experts, as well as rectors of universities in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan. The participants discussed ways to strengthen partnerships between universities.

During the festival, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a consortium with the participation of leading technical universities in Central Asia and Russia. Within the framework of the Future Innovators consortium, it is planned to organize joint scientific and educational events at universities in order to support young scientists and students. It also provides for the development of exchange programs for teachers and students, the implementation of joint research projects and support for innovative initiatives.

During the meeting, the heads of higher education institutions stressed the need to define a specific format for the consortium's activities and to hold regular annual meetings of the founders. In addition, the possibilities and requirements for the admission of new members for the expansion of the organization were discussed, as well as the main directions for the further development of international cooperation were outlined.

During his working visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, KazNU Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev held talks with Sadritdin Turabjanov, Rector of Tashkent State Technical University. The sides exchanged views on deepening bilateral cooperation, developing academic mobility and implementing joint scientific research. Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to take the partnership to a new level.

The rector of the university also met with young KazNU scientists who are taking part in the Future Innovators festival. Students of the specialties "Space Engineering and Technology" and "Robotic Systems" presented their innovative projects at the exhibition held within the framework of the festival.
