On April 29, 2026, a training seminar titled “Manage Your Money - Plan Your Future” was held at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management with first-year students majoring in Meteorology and Hydrology. The seminar was organized and conducted by instructors Amantay Tansholpan and Gulnaz Yensebay.

The purpose of the event was to develop students’ basic financial literacy, enhance their skills in personal budgeting, and increase their responsibility for managing personal finances and planning their future. Within this framework, students were introduced to the fundamentals of financial planning, the principles of managing income and expenses, as well as the importance of saving and rational spending.

The seminar was conducted in an interactive format, incorporating discussions, practical tasks, and case study analysis. During the session, key topics included the structure of a personal budget, setting financial goals, common mistakes in money management, and the basics of saving and investing. Special attention was given to the practical component: students created their own budgets, analyzed their financial habits, and planned future expenses.

The participants demonstrated a high level of engagement, actively contributing to discussions and completing the assigned tasks with interest. As a result of the seminar, students gained fundamental knowledge of financial literacy, learned how to analyze their income and expenses, and understood the importance of long-term financial planning.

Thus, the seminar contributed to fostering a responsible attitude toward personal finance and helped students recognize the importance of effective money management for successful future planning.
