KazNU has proposed scientific solutions to regional problems
Representatives of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in a meeting of the Scientific Council under the Akimat of the Almaty region. The meeting was chaired by Akim of the region Marat Sultangaziev.
The dialogue was attended by heads of the country's leading universities, experts from research institutes and representatives of major industry organizations.

During the meeting, the participants reviewed the process of forming priority areas of scientific and technological development of the Almaty region. Special emphasis was placed on the need to stimulate innovation activity and practical implementation of scientific developments in the region's economy. Akim of the region M.Sultangaziev stressed that today it is critically important to reduce the distance between scientific laboratories and production halls, creating viable digital and technological products.

During the meeting, Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Omirzhan Taukebayev, Director of the Cluster of Engineering and High-Tech Technologies, expressed the university's willingness to actively participate in the implementation of the regional scientific and technological agenda.

KazNU scientists voiced proposals on using the results of scientific projects to solve urgent problems in the region, as well as on including such areas as advanced technologies and citizen safety in priority areas of project competitions funded by the Akimat. They also stressed the university's readiness to participate in the implementation of the regional scientific and technological agenda.

Following the meeting, the members of the Scientific Council developed a number of recommendations to support young scientists and develop the startup ecosystem.
