The grand opening of the Fintech & Innovation classroom took place at the al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The new educational facility, created on the basis of the Higher School of Economics and Business, is designed to become a training center for highly qualified specialists for the digital economy and the financial sector.
The project was implemented thanks to the initiative and support of Gulnur Isabek, a graduate of KazNU, a financial analyst from Dubai (UAE).
Welcoming the participants of the ceremony, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Vice Rector for Research and Innovation at KazNU, noted the strategic importance of this project. He stressed that the creation of such technological platforms allows the university not only to follow global digitalization trends, but also to actively shape the intellectual potential of the country. According to the vice–rector, the auditorium will become a place of attraction for talented young people seeking to master the most relevant tools, from artificial intelligence in finance to blockchain technologies.
The Fintech & Innovation space is equipped with modern equipment that allows students of the Finance and Accounting and Audit programs to model real business processes. Students will be able to learn how digital payment systems, smart contracts, and financial analysis methods work in practice. In addition to training sessions, hackathons, workshops and meetings with representatives of leading banks and international fintech companies are planned here.
Launching an auditorium is part of the university's course on deep integration of education, science and business. Such initiatives are aimed at strengthening KazNU's position in international academic rankings and providing graduates with competencies in demand in the modern labor market.
