"OPEN HOUSE DAY" VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE EVENT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TURKOLOGY AND THEORY OF LANGUAGE

On April 30, 2026, a ceremonial "Open House Day" for high school graduates was organized at a high level at the Faculty of Philology of 91ý Kazakh National University, specifically at the Department of Turkology and Theory of Language .

The significance of the event was highlighted by the participation of M. A. Kurmanalieva, head of the Konaev city education department, R. K. Shaiguzova, principal of secondary school No. 2, and M. T. Abikenova, principal of secondary school No. 3. During the gathering, applicants were provided with informative material regarding the university's glorious history dating back to 1934 and the admission rules for the 2026–2027 academic year; additionally, the features and advantages of the "Turkology," "Linguistics," and "Foreign Language: Two Foreign Languages" specialties were comprehensively presented. The primary value of the department was identified as the opportunity for students to master Turkish, German, French, or Chinese alongside English, as well as the chance to attend lectures by qualified scholars such as R. A. Avakova, G. B. Madieva, and E. Bayat.

Particular interest was drawn to study opportunities at leading universities in China, Spain, Turkey, and the USA under academic mobility programs, including the educational experience of 14 students in Wuhan city. The first-place achievement of the department's students at the XVI Republican Subject Olympiad and Grand Prix awards in intellectual competitions proved the high quality of education. Students were introduced to the modern infrastructure of the "KazNUGrad" campus, comfortable dormitories, and sports complexes, allowing them to experience the creative atmosphere of student life.
