On April 27, 2026, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of 91��ý Kazakh National University hosted the opening ceremony of the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad among university students in the educational program “6B05103 – Biotechnology”.

The event was held in Conference Hall No. 409 of the university library. The main purpose of the Olympiad is to assess students’ professional knowledge, develop their scientific potential, and strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions.

Welcoming speeches were delivered by:

• Acting Dean of the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor Narmuratova Meyramkul Khudretovna;

• Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation and International Relations, Candidate of Biological Sciences Dauletbayeva Saniya Bolatovna;

• Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation and International Relations, Candidate of Biological Sciences Datkhabayeva Gauhar Kubenovna;

• Deputy Dean for Academic and Methodological Work, Associate Professor Basygaraev Zhandos Makhabatovich;

• Head of the Department of Biotechnology, PhD, Associate Professor Sarsekeeva Fariza Kudaybergenkyzy.

The Olympiad brings together 16 teams from 12 leading universities across the country, demonstrating their knowledge and level of preparation:
