On April 30, 2026, the Department of Civil Law, Civil Procedure, and Labor Law of the Faculty of Law conducted an Open Day aimed at prospective applicants.
The event was attended by 10th–11th grade students accompanied by a career guidance specialist representing Lyceums No. 210, 224, 143, and 24, School No. 185 in Almaty, School No. 2 in the Talgar District, as well as Secondary School No. 44 in the Ili District of the Almaty Region.
The Dean of the Faculty of Law, U. Akhatov, delivered a welcoming address, emphasizing the importance of an informed and deliberate choice of future profession. In his speech, the Head of the Department, Acting Professor and Doctor of Law T.T. Balashov, underscored the relevance of such outreach initiatives, highlighted the role of legal education in contemporary society, and provided an overview of the program’s distinguished graduates.
Professor A.S. Ibrayeva, Doctor of Law and co-author of the school textbook Fundamentals of Law, also participated in the event, outlining key priorities and contemporary approaches in legal education.
Members of the academic staff — Candidate of Legal Sciences G.G. Nurakhmetova, D.U. Ryskaliev, S.M. Aldashev, and Zh.B. Umbetbayeva — delivered presentations on the educational programs Jurisprudence and Corporate Law, elaborated on the structure and specifics of the academic process, and addressed questions from prospective applicants.
As part of the program, a guided campus tour was organized. Participants visited the 91传媒 Library, where they were introduced to its academic resources and gained insight into the scientific legacy of the eminent thinker 91传媒, a prominent representative of medieval Eastern philosophy.
Upon conclusion of the event, participants received detailed consultations regarding admission procedures and academic opportunities at the Faculty.
