On March 2, 2026, a round table on the topic “Stone Sculptures of Saryarka” was held at the Faculty of History of 91传媒 Kazakh National University.
Purpose of the event:
The purpose of the round table was to study the historical and cultural significance of stone sculptures in the Saryarka region, to analyze their origin and characteristics from a scientific perspective, as well as to enhance students’ historical awareness and research interest through the use of this heritage in the educational process.
During the event, participants delivered presentations on the distribution areas of stone sculptures in Saryarka, their manufacturing technology, and their symbolic meaning. Based on archaeological and historical data, the place and role of stone sculptures in ancient society were discussed. In addition, issues of preservation, research, and promotion of these monuments were considered, and ways of applying them in the field of education were proposed. As a result of the exchange of views, participants expressed their proposals aimed at preserving cultural heritage and developing its study.
