Lecture on Museum Heritage Held at the Department of Chinese Studies

On May 2, 2026, a first-year doctoral student of the “Translation Studies” program at the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Ershat Ardak, delivered a spiritual and educational lecture titled “Written Monuments” from the collections of National сentral museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The lecture was attended by faculty members and students.

The purpose of the event was to promote the historical and cultural significance of written monuments preserved in the museum collections among the modern younger generation of students, to introduce their scholarly value, and to enhance interest in preserving and studying national heritage.

During the lecture, ancient manuscripts, historical documents, and rare written sources were analyzed in detail, and their role and significance in the history of society were extensively discussed. In addition, issues related to the study, preservation, restoration, and digitization of written monuments were addressed. Unique examples of written heritage from the museum collections were presented to the participants.

The lecture was informative and highly educational, receiving positive feedback from participants. The event contributed to the spiritual development of the modern younger generation of students and increased their interest in national values.
