On May 5, 2026, a significant meeting took place at 91ý Kazakh National University, reflecting the university’s strategic development in the international arena. The event, organized by the Department of Turkology and the History of Eastern Countries of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, aimed to elevate cooperation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye in the fields of education and science to a new level.

The meeting was attended by Şükür Köse, Education Attaché of the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Almaty, as well as representatives of the Ministry of National Education of Türkiye - Deputy Director General for Higher and International Education Eyüp Tanyıldız and Head of the External Education Department Cabir Durak. The distinguished guests addressed key issues in the global education landscape and presented important proposals for strengthening academic collaboration between the two countries.

During the event, Head of the Department A. Khalel and the faculty members actively participated, sharing their professional experience. In particular, Senior Lecturer Nұrat Ilyas, Professor Savaş Şahin, and Professor Z. Shadkam expressed relevant ideas on improving the educational process. The meeting was held in an open format, allowing for a free exchange of ideas between students and faculty, thereby fostering a culture of academic partnership.

The main focus of the meeting was on enhancing students’ academic mobility, expanding access to international internships, and developing professional competencies. Participants received comprehensive information about Türkiye’s higher education system, scholarship programs, and career opportunities. Additionally, presentations by students who had completed internships abroad served as a strong source of motivation.

An important outcome of the meeting was the creation of new opportunities to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience. This initiative lays a solid foundation for increasing the competitiveness of future specialists in the global labor market.

In conclusion, the meeting not only strengthens the university’s international reputation but also contributes to improving the quality of education. Such initiatives broaden students’ professional horizons and help shape them into highly qualified specialists who meet modern global standards.
