On May 5, 2026, at the extended meeting of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre, the pre-defense of the dissertation by Gauhar Bolatovna Aubakirova was held. The dissertation was submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) under the educational program 8D01503 – Geography, on the topic: “Development of new information technologies for preparing students for geographical Olympiads in schools of Kazakhstan.”

Scientific supervisors:
– PhD, Assistant Professor Kalimurzina A.M. (domestic supervisor);
– PhD, Professor Hilmi Demirkaya (Antalya, Turkey) (foreign supervisor).

During the pre-defense, the scientific novelty, as well as the theoretical and practical significance of the dissertation, were discussed. Members of the academic council asked relevant questions and provided recommendations.

Based on the discussion, the dissertation of Gauhar Bolatovna Aubakirova was recognized as meeting the requirements, and a decision was made to admit it to the next stage — the final defense.

The meeting was attended by the faculty members of the department, as well as experts in the field.
