KazNU scientists presented innovative projects for the development of the Kyzylorda region

Representatives of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took part in the scientific session "Priority areas of regional development", held in the Kyzylorda region as part of a visiting meeting of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The large-scale meeting was attended by the leadership of the National Academy of Sciences, leading scientists of the country, as well as representatives of industrial and business structures. The main purpose of the event is to discuss scientific solutions and innovative technologies that give impetus to the socioeconomic development of the region, as well as to strengthen the link between science and production.

During the session, Kuanysh Tastambek, Director of the Department of Science and Innovation at KazNU, Aliya Aktymbaeva, Dean of the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Management, and Bakhyt Khaniev, Director of the Research Institute of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, presented comprehensive projects on environmental, infrastructural and digital development areas in the region. The university scientists presented such important initiatives as the Aral Sea Region restoration management, atmospheric air monitoring, the creation of a regional geoinformation platform for the control of degradation processes, monitoring of land resources for 3D cadastre and the introduction of mobile autonomous hybrid solar installations. In addition, special attention was paid to shaping the digital future of Kyzylorda using the capabilities of the KazNU supercomputer.

Following the meeting, the Kyzylorda region will form a list of specific tasks on topical issues of the region. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University expressed its readiness to deepen research in these areas and develop applied design solutions.

In addition, representatives of the Kyzylorda region expressed interest in familiarizing themselves with the scientific infrastructure and laboratories of KazNU. In this regard, representatives of the university invited the delegation of the region to visit the university for a detailed study of its research potential.

Within the framework of the event, an agreement was reached on the implementation of joint research projects with the Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University. This partnership will strengthen scientific ties in solving regional problems and give a new impetus to the sustainable development of the region.
