May 1 – the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan
On April 29, 2026, students of Group 204 of the Faculty of Law at 91ý Kazakh National University, under the guidance of their advisor Kонысбай Бақытгүл, conducted an open lesson. The topic of the lesson was “May 1 – the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan”. During the session, students carried out analytical work focusing on the historical significance of the holiday, the role of interethnic harmony in society, and the unity of Kazakhstan’s multiethnic population. Throughout the discussion, participants emphasized that unity is a key factor of the country’s stability and development, and shared their own reflections on the topic.
During the lesson, students also examined the history of interethnic relations in Kazakhstan and discussed the interaction of cultures and traditions among different ethnic groups. It was highlighted that the concepts of unity and harmony have not only political but also social and spiritual significance. The group engaged in an exchange of opinions, including discussions on the role of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan in strengthening social cohesion.
In addition, the open lesson addressed the importance of preserving national identity in the context of globalization and maintaining peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society. Students emphasized the significance of the May 1 holiday in shaping patriotic values among young people and concluded that unity and stability are fundamental pillars of the country’s development.
