“Expedition Clean” – Training on the “Leave No Trace” Principles for Field Practice
“Expedition Clean” is an environmental training program for tourism students based on the “Leave No Trace” principles. The program aims to develop a culture of responsible behavior in nature and promote sustainable tourism. Before the expedition, students received special training on environmental safety, protection of natural areas, and tourism ethics.
During the field practice, they followed rules such as leaving no litter, using natural resources responsibly, practicing safe campfire management, staying on designated trails, and avoiding harm to flora and fauna. In addition, the students discussed ways to reduce human impact on nature and completed team-based environmental tasks.
As a result, participants gained practical skills in responsible travel, environmental protection, and the application of ecotourism principles.
