SDG 4: Event on "Ways to Protect Against Financial Fraud"

An event titled "Ways to Protect Against Financial Fraud" was held at the Department of Pre-University Training within the Faculty of Pre-University Education as part of a financial literacy project. The goal of the event was to explain various types of modern financial fraud to participants, develop digital and financial security skills, and teach methods for the safe management of personal funds.
Enhancing security in the financial market and protecting citizens from fraud are pressing issues today. It is well known that in the modern era, money exists not only in cash but also in the digital world (on cards and smartphones).
During the event, participants discussed internet fraud, vishing (telephone fraud), financial pyramids, and social engineering—the practice of extorting money by gaining a person's psychological trust. Furthermore, safety rules and strategies for preserving personal savings were examined.
Participants were shown samples of fraudulent emails and messages and were given tasks to identify them. They also received answers to questions regarding the security of bank cards and precautionary measures for online shopping.
At the conclusion of the event, participants were provided with a specially prepared set of safety guidelines titled "10 Steps to Protect Against Fraudsters."
Attendees were advised that if they fall victim to fraud or encounter a suspicious situation, they must immediately contact their bank to block their card and report the incident to law enforcement agencies (by dialing 102).
Financial literacy is not just about the ability to save money, but also the capacity to protect one's capital.
