Strengthening academic ties

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a meeting between Deputy Chairman of the Board, First վ–Rector Erkin Duisenov and a delegation from Alma Ata University. The visit was dedicated to the expansion of international academic cooperation and the development of partnerships between the universities of Kazakhstan and Indonesia.

The delegation included the Rector of Alma Ata University, Professor Hamam Hadi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alma Ata Foundation Ida Rufaida Ali, Chairman of the Foundation Muhammad Rajif Arza and Director of the International Office of Raden University Nur Rahman Dzakiyullah.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects of joint educational programs, academic mobility of students and teachers, the exchange of scientific experience, as well as the implementation of research projects in the field of medicine, digital technologies and sustainable development. Welcoming the guests, Erkin Duisenov noted that al-Farabi Kazakh National University consistently strengthens international relations and expands cooperation with leading universities in Asia. "Today, partnership between universities plays a key role in the development of science and education. It is important for us to create joint projects, develop academic exchanges and open up new opportunities for students and young scientists",- Erkin Duisenov emphasized.

Hamam Hadi, Rector of Alma Ata University, noted KazNU's high authority in the international academic community and expressed interest in long-term cooperation.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a memorandum of cooperation, which provides for the implementation of joint scientific and educational projects, international conferences and the development of academic mobility.
