Investment policy analysis from experts
The international scientific and practical conference "Legal support of economic security and modern industrial policy" was held at al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the statesman and public figure, Professor Serikbai Nurgisayev.
The forum was attended by scientists, members of Parliament, representatives of government agencies, international experts and researchers from Kazakhstan, Finland, Indonesia, Uzbekistan and China. The participants discussed topical issues of economic security, digitalization of public administration, industrial policy and legal regulation of modern technological processes.
Welcoming the forum participants, Yerkin Duissenov, First Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, stressed that economic security today is directly related to the development of technology, digitalization and the sustainability of state institutions. "Today, the international and national economy is changing rapidly. In these conditions, it is especially important to form effective legal mechanisms capable of ensuring the sustainable development of the state, supporting entrepreneurship and introducing modern technologies",- Yerkin Duisenov said. The First Vice-rector also highlighted the contribution of Serikbai Nurgisayev to the development of the public administration system and national science.
"Serikbai Orikbayevich's life is an example of high responsibility, professionalism and dedication to his work. His experience and knowledge are still in demand in the scientific and educational environment",- Yerkin Duisenov said.
Deputy of the Mazhilis of Parliament Murat Abenov and President of the Union of Scientists of Kazakhstan Orazaly Sabden addressed the participants with welcoming words.
During the plenary session, issues of water security, sustainable development, digitalization of public administration, environmental policy and legal aspects of the modern economy were discussed. Chairman of the Water Management Committee of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arsen Zhakanbayev noted the importance of restoring the Aral Sea for the sustainable development of the region.
International experts presented research in the field of investment policy, sustainable development and the digital economy. The participants paid special attention to the issues of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and regulation of digital platforms.
After the plenary session, the guests got acquainted with the university's innovative infrastructure 鈥� the Farabi Hub, the Robotics Center, the Earth Remote Sensing Center and the supercomputer cluster.
