Today, at 91��ý Kazakh National University, the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics organized an important meeting with representatives of the Geoinformation Support Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan and military educational institutions.

The guests were introduced to the university campus and took a special tour of the department’s educational and scientific infrastructure. During the meeting, particular interest was shown in modern geoinformation technologies, digital cartography, remote sensing, and GIS-related fields.

During the roundtable discussion, the participants addressed:
— the development of dual education programs,
— strengthening the connection between industry and education,
— the introduction of microqualification programs,
— improving students’ practical training,
— and the implementation of joint projects in the field of geoinformation technologies.

Special attention was given to microqualification programs adapted to the modern labor market, which were highlighted as an effective way to strengthen the professional competencies of future specialists.

As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and continue joint efforts aimed at integrating practical experience and academic knowledge.
