The official delegation of the Russian Federation visited the KazNU branch
Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, Oleg Smolin, Deputy of the State Duma, and Alexander Koltsov, Minister of Science, Higher Education and Scientific and Technological Development of the Omsk Region, paid an official visit to the branch of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University in Omsk. Earlier, the branch was also inspected by Sergey Kravtsov, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation, and Vitaly Khotsenko, Governor of the Omsk Region.
The guests were received by the director of the branch Murat Dzhangaziev. He conducted a detailed tour of the academic building, demonstrating the results of the first year of work. The delegations presented modern classrooms, equipped computer labs, a library fund with access to the electronic systems of the main university in Almaty, as well as comfortable coworking areas for student design.
During the inspection, Murat Dzhangaziev spoke in detail about the specifics of the educational process: "Our branch is the first foreign university opened in Russia on the initiative of the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia. Today, we have 54 students studying in the most sought-after areas: "International Law", "Customs" and "Kazakh language and Literature". We are not just providing knowledge, we are building a personnel bridge between our states".
During the dialogue, special attention was paid to employment issues. Konstantin Mogilevsky noted the uniqueness of KazNU's programs, which allow graduates to work effectively for the benefit of both countries.
In the context of the visit of the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, plans for the construction of a new Russian-Kazakh school in Omsk for 500 places were also discussed. Murat Dzhangaziev stressed that students of the Faculty of Philology studying in the direction of "Kazakh language and Literature" will become a valuable human resource for this project.
