“Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Activity: Contribution to the Achievement of the SDGs”
On May 14, 2026, the Kazakh State Women’s Teacher Training University (KazGosZhenPU) conducted a free course for the academic staff on the topic “Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Activity: Contribution to the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
The course was conducted by invited lecturers from 91ý Kazakh National University:
Turalina D.E., Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Assistant Professor;
Amanzholov T.E., PhD, Senior Lecturer.
The main purpose of the event was to enhance the digital competencies of the teaching staff and introduce modern opportunities for the use of artificial intelligence in scientific research and educational activities.
During the course, the following topics were discussed:
the application of artificial intelligence tools in scientific research;
methods of searching, analyzing, and processing scientific information;
the use of AI in preparing scientific articles, projects, and presentations;
the role of artificial intelligence in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Special attention was paid to the connection between artificial intelligence and the following SDGs:
SDG 4 — “Quality Education”;
SDG 9 — “Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure”;
SDG 17 — “Partnerships for the Goals”.
During the event, participants gained practical skills in working with modern AI tools, discussed the prospects of their application in scientific and educational activities, and exchanged professional experience.
The course attracted significant interest from the academic staff and became an important step toward developing digital competencies and implementing innovative technologies in the university’s educational process.
