The Eurasian Digital Medicine Forum was held
The Eurasian Digital Forum of Intelligent Solutions in Medicine and Oncology was held on the basis of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology. The large-scale event brought together leading scientists, doctors, IT developers and experts from Kazakhstan, China, South Korea, Singapore and other countries.
On behalf of the university's management, Margulan Ibraimov, Member of the Board, Vice–Rector for Research and Innovation at KazNU, welcomed the participants of the event. In his speech, he emphasized the university's role in digital transformation. "Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is consistently developing areas related to the digital transformation of science and education, the introduction of artificial intelligence into biomedical research, as well as the training of a new generation of specialists capable of working at the intersection of medicine, biology, data and engineering",- said the Vice–rector.

Speaking at the opening, Chairman of the Management Board of KazNIIOiR JSC, Professor Erbol Bekmukhambetov emphasized the strategic importance of the chosen direction. "Today, medicine is undergoing a profound transformation. Artificial intelligence, digital solutions, and interdisciplinary research are shaping a new model of diagnosis, treatment, and patient support. In oncology, this is of particular importance: the accuracy of algorithms, the speed of data processing and a personalized approach directly affect the preservation of life and improve its quality",- said Professor Bekmukhambetov.

The forum program included sections dedicated to: government programs for healthcare digitalization, artificial intelligence in oncology and diagnostics, digital pathology and morphological research, digital transformation of medical education, and the development of MedTech and AI startups. Special attention was paid to the practical application of artificial intelligence in medical diagnostics, the analysis of CT images using machine learning, the use of AI in mammography, etc.

Within the framework of the event, a startup competition "From Idea to medical Innovation" was held, where young scientists presented platforms for early detection of cancer and intelligent systems for supporting clinical decisions.
KazSRIOR also hosted workshops on digital cytogenetics, where participants got acquainted with automated FISH analysis systems.
