Educational and Patriotic Event “National Symbols – The Reflection of the Country’s Independence” Held

On the eve of the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology of 91ý Kazakh National University organized an educational and patriotic event entitled “National Symbols – The Reflection of the Country’s Independence.”

The purpose of the event was to promote the significance and importance of the state symbols among students, deepen their knowledge of the history of their formation, foster respect for national values, and strengthen patriotic spirit.

The event brought together faculty members, staff, and students of the Faculty. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the State Flag, the State Emblem, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan are the principal symbols of independent Kazakhstan, representing the country’s history, national identity, and spiritual values.

The event opened with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan, through which participants expressed their respect for the state symbols of the country. This was followed by an informative presentation on the history of the state symbols, their creators, and the stages of their official adoption. Participants discussed the profound meaning embodied in each element of the state symbols and exchanged views on their role in strengthening the ideals of independence and national unity.

Students recited poems dedicated to the state symbols and performed patriotic songs. In addition, intellectual quizzes and educational activities were organized to broaden students’ historical awareness and understanding. Students who demonstrated active participation and excellent knowledge were acknowledged and commended.

In their speeches, faculty members highlighted that showing respect for the state symbols is a constitutional duty of every citizen and a reflection of responsibility for the future of the country. They also encouraged young people to cherish national values, honor the history of their nation, and contribute to the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan.

The event “National Symbols – The Reflection of the Country’s Independence” became an important educational platform aimed at strengthening students’ civic responsibility, fostering patriotic consciousness, and cultivating a sense of national pride.

Such meaningful events held at the Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology contribute to the moral and spiritual development of students, the preservation of national identity, and the promotion of respect for the values of independent Kazakhstan.
