METEOROLOGY STUDENTS COMPLETED THEIR FIELD TRAINING PRACTICE
From May 25 to June 6, 2026, students of the Educational Program in Meteorology of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences, 91传媒 Kazakh National University, completed their field training practice.
The main objective of the practice was to strengthen students鈥� theoretical knowledge, develop practical skills in conducting meteorological observations, and enhance their professional competencies.
During the practice, the students became acquainted with the activities of the Almaty branch of Kazhydromet, where they carried out meteorological observations and participated in the processing and analysis of meteorological data. In addition, they visited the Shymbulak Meteorological Station, where they studied the climatic characteristics of mountainous areas and learned about the operation of modern meteorological instruments and equipment.
The students also conducted practical work at the meteorological station of 91传媒 Kazakh National University. They observed and analyzed key meteorological parameters, including air temperature, atmospheric pressure, humidity, wind direction, and wind speed. The collected data were recorded in observation logs and later used for analytical and reporting purposes.
At the end of the field training practice, the students analyzed the collected data, prepared reports, and presented the results of their work. The practice contributed to the development of professional competencies and provided valuable hands-on experience for future meteorologists.
