ACADEMIC COOPERATION: EXCHANGE OF EXPERIENCE IN SCIENCE AND EDUCATION

In an era of the growing significance of international educational partnership, mutual exchange of best practices enhances the quality of education and unlocks new opportunities for learners. Driven by this objective, faculty members of the Department of Turkology and Language Theory (Faculty of Philology) at 91ý Kazakh National University and colleagues from Berdakh Karakalpak State University (Republic of Karakalpakstan) — representing the Faculty of Uzbek Philology, Department of Kazakh Language and Literature: PhD, Associate Professor Adilova Gulshat Agitayevna, PhD Serikbayeva Akmaral Sakhratdinovna; Department of Uzbek Language and Literature: Associate Professor Yangibayeva Nazira Gulmanovna, Asamatdinova Zulfiya Saparniyazovna; Department of Turkmen Language and Literature: Avezklycheva Sayat Saparklychevna; Faculty of Karakalpak Philology and Journalism, Department of Karakalpak Linguistics: Associate Professor Allambergenova Gulzhakhan Aitbayeva; Department of Practical Philology: Associate Professor Usenova Kyzlargul Ubaidullayevna, Atabayeva Gozzal Bazarbayevna — successfully engaged in an academic exchange program from April 1 to May 1, 2026. This international collaboration directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically quality education (SDG 4) and partnerships for the goals (SDG 17).

The visiting delegation attended lectures conducted by the department’s prominent scholars, including Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor R.A. Avakova; Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor G.B. Madiyeva; Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Zh.K. Ibrayeva; Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor S.B. Bektemirova; Doctor PhD Sh.T. Kudiyarova; Lecturer K. Ashirkulov, among others, sharing valuable insights regarding innovative pedagogical methodologies and academic research directions. Undergraduate, master's, and PhD students majoring in Turkology and Linguistics benefited from an open academic dialogue with the Uzbekistani scholars, addressing burning issues in philological science.

On April 28, PhD Adilova Gulshat Agitayevna, Associate Professor of the Department of Kazakh Language and Literature (Faculty of Uzbek Philology), delivered an open lecture for 3rd-year undergraduate students of the "6В02209-Turkology" educational program within the framework of the "History of Turkic Languages" course. The lecture, titled "Main Branches of Grapholingustics. Graphic Linguistics: Goals, Objectives, and Object of Research," provided students with comprehensive insights into the history of graphics and writing systems based on the lecturer's extensive scientific expertise.

The exchange participants highly commended the academic standards maintained by our university’s faculty, praising their professional excellence, as well as the students’ active engagement and knowledge proficiency. In their concluding feedback, the international colleagues recognized the achievements in the fields of educational infrastructure, Turkology, and linguistics, expressing strong confidence in the sustainable development of this bilateral partnership. This academic exchange marks a significant milestone in solidifying educational integration between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, empowering educators, undergraduate, master's, and PhD students to enrich their scholarly output and cultivate international expertise.
