Farabi Alemi International Conference: A Lecture of International Significance
As part of the Farabi Alemi International Scientific Conference held at 91ý Kazakh National University, an important academic event took place at the Faculty of Geography and Environmental Sciences. Organized by the Department of Cartography and Geoinformatics, the event featured a lecture by Professor Christian Sue from one of France’s leading higher education institutions, Grenoble Alpes University.
Professor Sue delivered a presentation entitled “In Search for (Very) Slow Crustal Deformations in the Orogens,” focusing on modern geodynamic approaches to the study of tectonic movements of the Earth's crust. The lecture highlighted innovative methods for monitoring lithospheric deformations in mountainous regions and presented the latest findings from international research projects in this field.
The event demonstrated the growing integration of Kazakhstan’s cartography and geoinformatics community into the global scientific arena.
