KAZNU STUDENT UNDERTAKES PROFESSIONAL INTERNSHIP AT PAKISTANI EMBASSY IN ASTANA
As part of professional internship, Alikhan Makanov, a second-year student of the Urdu Language Department at the Faculty of Oriental Studies of 91传媒 Kazakh National University, is undertaking an internship at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Astana.
The internship aims to enhance students鈥� professional competencies, bridge the gap between academic learning and practical experience, and prepare them for their future careers. During the internship, the student participated in the Embassy鈥檚 analytical activities and presents research projects related to bilateral relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan. In addition, he is involved in translating official documents and analytical materials from Urdu and English into Kazakh and Russian. The future specialist also actively contributes to consular and administrative work by communicating with Pakistani citizens in Urdu, providing consultations on visa procedures, and assisting with various organizational matters. This internship offers valuable practical insight into the nature and responsibilities of diplomatic service.
